On Friday, April 18, BPS will be hosting our "Purple Up" Celebration of Military Children. This event is open to all Bourne Public Schools students whose parents/guardians are active military members. There will be a speaking program followed by a reception, with all PreK-12 military connected students in attendance. If you cannot attend, we will ensure that your student is escorted to BIS by school staff. If your family is an active military family and you did not receive an invitation from Dr. Zhou for this event, please email Assistant Superintendent Christine Borning at cborning@bourneps.org so we can be sure to share all information with you.

Hello!

The weather continues to be a little chilly, we try to go outside if possible for recess so please send your student with proper outerwear (coat) so they are comfortable to play outside.

There has been an increase in cases of RSV, and some cases of stomach illness as well.

Please remember to keep your child home until 24 hours after they have a fever, diarrhea or vomiting. If they are coughing so much they can't stop, it is best to get it checked out prior to coming to school.

Physical literacy enhances a child’s self-confidence and social interaction which helps to contribute to a well-rounded and confident individual. Physical literacy enhances students’ cognitive development, fostering improved concentration, problem-solving skills, and overall academic performance.
