Principal's Update
2024 is here and we are so excited to continue to learn and work together at MSMS!
After having time over the end of 2023 with family and loved ones, our students have returned to class with great energy and now we even have snow AND school on a Monday! (Who knew this past December would be such a wild ride). I hope this finds you all well. We have just a few weeks until the end of our first semester marking the half way point to our school year. The new semester will begin on Tuesday, January 23rd!
Likewise, at the end of the month, we have some of our 8th graders that were selected randomly by the Vermont Agency of Education to take the NAEP test. The NAEP test is a national assessmept that the US Department of Education conducts every two years to compare academic achievement in english and mathematics across the country. The results are released as a Nation's Report Card. Students who were selected received a letter outlining this further. If you have questions, you can direct them to Laurel Proctor-Mattingly (laurelpm@mpsvt.org) who is doing a great job of coordinating this assessment here at MSMS.
