Thank you to all who are supporting Copper Mesa by dining out with In-N-Out tomorrow night! We needed to sell 200 tickets and we ended up selling 240, so this event will bring in a nice profit for the school that we can use to support our students and staff this year! If you pre-ordered a ticket, PTO will be outside during drop-off and pick-up on Friday, as well as at the event, to collect payment and distribute your tickets. You can pay via cash, check, credit card or Apple/Google Pay. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our school wide photo will be taken tomorrow, September 27th, and school shirts will be distributed to the classrooms tonight, so there won’t be a single chance of losing them before the photo. Then the kids can bring them home to have for field trips and Boosterthon later in the year!

PTO will be hosting a car painting event in the CME parking lot on October 2nd, from 4:30-6:00pm, in support of the Bond initiative, 5A, going on the ballot. Please join us if you’d like to show your support for 5A on your car windows, and let us know if you’d like to help with the painting - especially if you have nice handwriting! ;)

We are looking forward to our first Donuts With Grownups event, coming up on October 4th, at 8am in the cafeteria! Donuts, coffee and juice will be provided, so please come and mingle with other Copper Mesa families for a casual breakfast before school and work. Please fill out THIS FORM by October 1st so that we know how many donuts to get, and let us know if you prefer allergen friendly options. If you thought that we forgot about Boosterthon this year, think again! We are gearing up to have a different type of event this year with an indoor Glow Dance Party! We are excited to try something new this year and we hope the kids will love it. Mark your calendars for the event on October 30th, with registration starting October 7th, and all the fun starting when we get back from Fall Break, October 21st!

The planning for our annual Son Event is underway, so mark your calendars for November 2nd, from 2:00-4:00pm! This event will take place at the HRCA Backcountry Wilderness Area. There will be a scavenger hunt, scat identification and a group game. If weather is an issue, we will reschedule for the spring. Tickets are $20 per child, and adults are free! You can purchase your tickets HERE. We hope to see lots of you there with your wonderful sons!

Speaking of Boosterthon, at the PTO meeting earlier in the month, we discussed several options for where we would like to see the funds from the fundraiser spent. Please take time to share with us your thoughts. To provide CME families an opportunity to have a voice in improvements at school, the PTO researched numerous ideas from parents and staff over the years and presented it in this SLIDE DECK. Got a knack for party planning? Love reaching out to local businesses? Looking to get your hands dirty (We know for a fact there are some interested dads out there!)?

We are always looking for volunteers for Teacher/Staff Appreciation, our Daughter Event, our Son Event, School Beautification, our Spring Fundraiser, etc. If you would like to volunteer with PTO in any way, please let us know.

Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.

The purpose of the program:

1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.

One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000.
