“See, upon the palms of my hands I have engraved you…” (Isaiah 49:16)
Welcome to 2018
When our year began, the faculty and staff gathered for a retreat and we read the attached passage from the book of Isaiah. As with many years of our lives, this past year has been a mix of blessings and challenges. One of the blessings that we share is having a community that recognizes God is with us. As individuals, God knows each of us, we rest in the palm of God’s hands. But also, as a community, we rest in God’s hand and God knows us by name. So it is with great hope that we begin 2018. As a faculty and staff, we will not take for granted the gifts and talents we have and we will work hard to make our school grow and to serve our young people well. Above all else, we remember that “God is love” (1 John 4:8), and we share that love with our students and with each other with “heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” (Colossians 3:12)
