A Message from Nurse Hutchinson
If your child has medication that is kept in the health room, you are required to pick it up by the end of the day on Friday, June 7th.
You may pick up medication during the hours of 9:15 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. All medication is required to be picked up by an adult that is 18 years of age or older. Per MD State Health Law medication is not allowed to be sent home in a child's backpack. Medications cannot be stored in the health room over the summer. Any leftover medication must be discarded. All medications will need new orders prior to the start of the next school year.
If you have any questions or concerns please call Nurse Hutchinson 301-472-4500 ext. 3 or
email at pmhutchinson@smcps.org.
Please follow this link for blank forms for next school year. Please have the appropriate form completed by your medical provider over the summer for the next school year.
New for Next Year: The Over-the-Counter Medication Authorization Form has been discontinued so all medication including over-the-counter medications will need a doctor’s order.
