From Mrs. Barry
It's been a busy week at Meadow Wood! The construction of our new track is underway! The children have loved watching the big machinery at work, and the tall fence is now up for better safety. We had our Curriculum Nights on Tuesday and Thursday. If you were unable to attend, the grade levels should be sending out their presentations to you. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher. We held our first evening PTA meeting, where we launched our Carnival! This year's Carnival will be held on October 18th! We also got a sneak peek at PTA's big Gala, which will be held on February 8th. We also had our first Spirit Night - this time at Cane's. These nights are simple ways that you can support our school, while getting yummy food. Look for different opportunities each month!
Believe it or not, we are also almost halfway through our first nine weeks. Progress reports will come home this coming Friday. As a reminder, you can request a conference with your child's teacher at any time; however, formal conferences will be held the week of October 21st. The campus calendar is full, so please continue to check it for important events, as well as look for emails and Remind notices, both from your child's teacher and from the school.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or celebrations, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. We truly have one of the best partnerships in Spring Branch, and it's because of our willingness to communicate with each other! Let's continue building the legacy that started 60 years ago! Thank you!
Alopecia Awareness Month
September is Alopecia Awareness Month
Alopecia is a condition that causes someone’s hair to fall out unexpectedly. It’s important to remember that people with alopecia are just like everyone else, and their hair loss doesn't change who they are inside.
To show our support for the students in our school who have Alopecia, we invite everyone to participate by wearing blue on September 19th. Let’s come together to raise awareness and foster a supportive environment. Your participation will help make a difference!
