PYLUSD High Schools Begin Inaugural Season of Girls Flag Football
Following the unanimous vote to officially sanction girls flag football as a California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) sport, this fall marks the inaugural season of the sport at Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District high schools. All four of the district’s comprehensive high schools—El Dorado, Esperanza, Valencia, and Yorba Linda–are currently participating with teams of their own.
Family Resource Center Continues Annual Partnership with Second Harvest of Orange County for Food Distribution Events
Second Harvest of Orange County, in collaboration with the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Family Resource Center, continues to offer twice monthly fresh produce and canned/packaged food distribution at both Topaz and Melrose elementary schools.
Yorba Linda Middle School Students Showcase Art at Local Starbucks
Yorba Linda Middle School 6th-grade art students created festive pumpkins inspired by famous Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama that are now displayed at a nearby local Starbucks. Students were inspired by Kusama’s story and her journey to success as an artist.
