Superintendent Message - Sept. 9-13
SUPERINTENDENT MESSAGE
Inspired by Christ on a Journey to Encounter, Nurture, and Serve.
Inspiré par Dieu dans une Aventure à Découvrir, Grandir, et Servir.
September 9 - 13, 2024
Good morning,
A Catholic faith community is rooted in a set of common beliefs inspired by the life mission and teaching of Jesus. As a Catholic community, we are called to learn, grow, and become more like Jesus in how we see and treat others.
Thank you for making the opening of the 2024-2025 school year a success! Our trustees and senior leadership team were delighted to join you during last week’s school visits and events. It was heartwarming to witness the excitement in your “Welcome Back” as you greeted students and families, helping them reconnect with their school, settle into their classrooms, and reunite with old friends while meeting new ones.
As the new school year kicks off, it's exciting to see our high school students actively engaging in various activities. The baseball, volleyball, and football teams have already started their seasons, and we eagerly anticipate updates from middle school athletics and rehearsals for upcoming performances. Everyone is settling in well.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated staff for their unwavering commitment to extracurriculars—whether through coaching, directing, or mentoring. Your extra time and effort make a tremendous difference, helping students pursue their diverse interests and passions. We truly appreciate all that you do.
Blessings,
Kathleen Finnigan, Superintendent

Letter from Minister Nicolaides: Welcome back to another school year
We were at Gulls Field in Sylvan Lake Friday afternoon to cheer on the St. Joseph High School Falcons as they opened the inaugural Gulls Rising Stars Classic with a game against Edmonton's AHP Renegades. The entire St. Joe's student body was bussed in to cheer on the home team.
The tournament also included the Vauxhall Jets, the Weber Wildcats from Calgary, and Saskatoon's Going Yard Goats.
