Mrs. Taylor's Counseling Corner
Greetings to All of our Spur Families,
A special thank you to everyone who joined us for our Spring Open House on this past Thursday. It was a wonderful night, and we had over 350 families join us for data folder and work sharing by our students and staff. It is always a great time when you are able to see the growth of your child. We are very proud of the achievements of our Spurs.
Last week we introduced our new attendance clerk--Ms. Tabatha Stevenson. This week we are excited to let you know we are fully staffed here at Comanche Springs as we have brough Zaniya Funches on our team as the front office receptionist. You may have already noticed this wonderful young lady in our school, as she has been subbing for us in the front office often these past weeks. When you stop in to see us, please give her a "Spur" welcome.
Nurse Leeper in the nurse's station is running low on socks, underwear, and pants for our smallest students. If you are cleaning out during the next few weeks and would like to donate some items, know they would be appreciated. You or your student may drop them off at the front office.
A quick reminder about school dismissal. First, the dismissal bell rings at 2:50, and we work diligently to get your child to you safely. We need your assistance with this. We need all our walking children to follow the instructions of staff as they cross the street at the crosswalks. Children are not allowed to cross the street in any area that does not have a crosswalk. This is strictly enforced for safety reasons. For car riders, please make sure you are here to pick up your child, as we do not have staff capacity after school to monitor students who are not picked up until after 3:10. We appreciate your understanding and your focus on the safety of our children.
There is a calendar flyer for the food pantry in the flyer section of this newsletter.
Spring Break begins March 17-21. We will have a half day on this Friday, March 14. The House Rally is this Friday, too. You are welcome to join us as we celebrate success!
