NAMS Promotion Ceremonies - Time Change 6/17/24
Good afternoon NAMS Families,
In reviewing with the NAPD the time of our Promotion Ceremonies and Parking Plan for Monday, June 17, 2024 we have decided to adjust the schedule to provide more time between ceremonies. This should allow for more parking spaces around NAMS to become available prior to the next ceremony.
The updated Promotion Ceremony times will be as follows:
Team 8A 8:00-9:00
Team 8B 9:30-10:30
Team 8C 11:00-12:00
Thank you for your anticipated support, understanding, and cooperation.

Promotion Ceremonies & Class Night
Promotion & Awards Ceremonies - Monday, June 17, 2024
This is the most formal event that takes place at NAMS. As such, students normally wear shirts and ties with comfortable shoes, sun dresses with comfortable shoes, polo shirts if a tie isn’t worn, and pants or dresses instead of shorts.
Hats are discouraged for this event.
Students will be allowed to have their cell phones with them but should not use or access their phones during the ceremonies.
Class Night - Monday, June 17, 2024 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
This is a beach-themed event so Hawaiian shirts, shorts, polo shirts, sun dresses, rompers, and comfortable shoes are recommended.
There will be a photo booth available for students to take pictures with friends and lots of food and drink options.
Students will be allowed to have their cell phones with them but should not take pictures of anyone without their permission.
Yearbooks
We understand that some students are not pictured in the yearbook. We are in conversations with the Photographers and Yearbook staff to understand why and what can be done to address this oversight.

Promotion Ceremonies - Dismissing 8th Graders
All Grade 8 students should arrive at school by 7:45 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024. The main office and our dismissal areas will be very busy on this day so we would like all of our students to arrive at school on time.
If you wish to dismiss your child after the ceremony, please complete this google form.
If you wish to dismiss your 8th grader after the promotion ceremonies and you did not complete this google form, you will need to complete a sign out log after the ceremony.
Please Note: Students do not need to be dismissed. They can absolutely finish the school day with their team teachers.
Dismissing 8th Graders’ Siblings
If you wish to dismiss your 8th grader's sibling to attend the Promotion Ceremony, please complete this google form. We will ask your child to meet you at the Symmes Lobby Exit at the back of NAMS at the time you indicate on the form.
If you would like the sibling to return to school after the ceremony, you will need to sign your child back into school in the Symmes Lobby.
There will be staff members outside of the gate at Hayes Stadium (after ceremonies) and in Symmes Lobby (before & after ceremonies) assisting with dismissals.
