Principal Message

Hello Seahawks! Our instructional staff had a great time learning and collaborating with other educators throughout the district at the LKSD Annual Fall Conference in Bethel. This week everyone returned to school refreshed and ready to learn. Our K-3 students started the Fall Dibels Reading screener. Our middle school classes participated in an anti-bullying presentation and we also hosted our first "Sources of Strength" family game night.


This coming week we will have our ASB meeting on Monday at 5PM and our students will continue working on their Dibels Reading screener. As always, my door is open and our team welcomes your input as we continue to SOAR to Success !

SEPTEMBER : STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Carlene Cleveland

Carlene Cleveland comes to school each day ready to learn and participate. She always shows her positive behavior by following the Seahawks expectations, being respectful, responsible, and ready. She is always kind and respectful of her peers and teachers. Carlene cares about herself and others. She is quick to care for other students when they need help. She also takes initiative everyday to help with things that need to be done around the classroom. I can always count on her to follow through with instructions and be the class leader. She is an amazing child who always stays on top of her academics on her own. I am so happy to have her in my classroom!

STAFF SPOTLIGHT

Frank "Bob" Cleveland

Joshua Brown

We value our maintenance team the "Dynamic Duo" Mr. Frank "Bob" Cleveland and Mr. Joshua "Josh" Brown. They are always fixing and repairing things around our school and inside our teacher housing. This week they worked hard to install our new door locking system, made repairs to our school generator, helped the custodians haul trash, picked up school packages from the post office and they also did airport pick up and drop off.

SOARING INTO ACTION

Attendance Matters Competition

Our 4th graders are currently in the lead with the highest attendance rate this week. The grade that has the highest attendance rate at the end of the month will get to participate in our monthly Open Gym!

PBIS Reward: SOAR Gameroom

Students who are soaring in their academics and behavior will be able to attend our monthly game room party.
