DWS 12 Nights of Reading
To celebrate the holiday season, Mrs. MacNeil will be sending home a link to a story each night starting on December 4th. The following morning, a question will be asked over the load speaker about the story and the first class to call into the office with the correct answer will win a prize! Be on the lookout for the first email! We hope you will join us in this fun, family activity leading up to holiday break!
Please join the DWS PTO on PTBoard, today!
PTBoard is an online platform that we use to communicate school information, events and volunteer opportunities to families. As we move away from sending home paper flyers, this will be the only way to stay up-to-date on school events and place orders for school spiritwear, etc. Accounts are free to set up and in no way commit you to volunteering for the PTO. Please reach out with questions at yourdwspto@gmail.com.

Still Looking for 1 Site Council Member
Since the passage of the 1993 Education Reform Act, all schools in Massachusetts must form School Councils, which include representation from parents, teachers, the community, and school administration. The purpose of the School Council is to involve parents and teachers in school decision-making. The School Council will also formulate an annual school improvement plan with the goal of strengthening the bond between our school and the Marshfield community we serve. This plan is then submitted to the Superintendent and School Committee.
We are looking for ONE parent to join our School Council this year! We encourage all parents to consider this opportunity for meaningful dialogue and active participation in our Daniel Webster School community. The meetings are generally held once each month on Tuesdays at 4:00.
DWS All Star Monthly Raffle
At the end of the month, all the All-Stars get taken down from the bulletin boards and entered into a grand prize raffle! The more All-Stars you have, the better chance you have at winning! During our school-wide assembly, Mrs. Jackson pulled one winner from each grade!
Congratulations to:
Kindergarten - Yasmin P
Grade 1 - Emerson M
Grade 2 - Hayden H
Grade 3 - Jack M
Grade 4 - Michael M
Grade 5 - Charlotte H
Congratulations!

DWS Students are Grateful
Kindergarten Thanksgiving Poems
Our Kindergarten kicked off our monthly assembly with some adorable Thanksgiving poems!
Grade 3 Turkey Disguise
Third grade students completed their annual Turkey activity this week. Every year, after reading “Turkey Trouble” students in third grade disguise their “turkeys”. The students then write persuasive essays to convince readers not to eat them for Thanksgiving. This project is always lots of fun and the students get so creative!
Grade 3 Thanksgiving Play
Third grades in Mrs. Hines' class performed a Thanksgiving play about how a turkey evaded being the main course for Thanksgiving dinner!
.
Grade 4 Math and Munchies
Our fourth grade families were invited in last Friday afternoon to participate in some math games and activities. Thank you to those families who were able to join us for the fun!
Ms. LaForest's Grade 5 Cranberry Experiments
Fifth grade students engaged in a stem project using cranberries. They made rafts to see which ones floated with the most weight!
