I am so very hopeful that you all have had a wonderful back-to-school season! This first month has flown by here at Lambs! We have been busily learning new routines, practicing our LAMBS Traits, and perhaps most exciting of all being sorted into our houses! Our house system seeks to help cultivate a rich sense of belonging among all our students from Child Development up to fifth grade. Positive relationships and connectedness are hallmarks of an effective house system and we are just beginning to see the impacts in our hallways! I love to see students flash me their house symbol when walking down the hallway or hearing their cheers in their classrooms and at lunch! Speaking of lunch, this past week we unveiled our Lambs Leaderboard in the cafeteria. Students are earning points via an app for demonstrating elements of our LAMBS Traits. These points are awarded to individual students, but are also counted towards their house! It has been so exciting to see which house is in the lead! Ask your child which house they are in…I know they will be thrilled to share more details with you!
Plan to join us for a fun-filled family night sponsored by our AMAZING PTA, on Thursday, September 12th at 5pm. We will be tie-dying the white PTA shirts you have purchased! Don't have one? Don't worry! We will have more available for purchase at the event! These are allowed to be worn as uniform shirts! Kona Ice will be on site! Come and celebrate your house by crafting a snow cone in the flavors and colors of your house! I know I will be making a red one to represent my house...AMISTAD! PTA will also be hosting a Cici's Pizza night on September 17th! More details to follow!
