Wells Weekly Update
Week of November 11th
Attendance Matters
Dear Parents,
We hope this message finds you well. We would like to take a moment to emphasize the importance of regular school attendance for your child(ren). Ensuring that they attend school every day is crucial for their academic success and overall development.
When students miss school, they not only miss out on essential lessons but also valuable learning experiences that contribute to their overall growth. This can have a significant impact on their understanding of the material and can hinder their chances of being promoted to the next grade level.
We appreciate your support in reinforcing the importance of daily attendance with your child(ren). Together, we can help them achieve their academic goals and ensure a brighter future. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
Looking forward to great things,
Ms. LaQuisha Knowles
NO BADGE, NO RIDE POLICY
We are committed to student safety, and starting November 13th, all students will be required to have their ID badge to ride the bus. This new policy, “No Badge, No Ride,” ensures students can securely badge on and off the bus, giving parents peace of mind through the Smart Tag app.

Book Fair
We are excited to announce that the Book Fair is finally here! We invite you to support our Scholastic Book Fair, which will be running from November 11th to 15th. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore a wide variety of books and engage with the joy of reading. Throughout the school day, students will have the chance to visit the Book Fair, browse the selection, and make purchases. We look forward to seeing your students there and appreciate your involvement in making this event a success!
PEARLS FOOD DRIVE
Parents, we invite you to support our Food Drive to assist both our community and families in need during the Holiday season. Your contributions can make a significant difference, providing essential items to those who need them most. We encourage you to donate non-perishable food items such as canned goods, rice, pasta, and cereals. Together, we can make this a season of giving and kindness. Thank you for your generosity and support.
Literacy Night
Parents, we warmly invite you to join us for an exciting and educational evening dedicated to enhancing literacy skills and understanding the importance of reading. Our Literacy Night is set for Wednesday, November 13th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and it promises to be a delightful experience for everyone involved.
During this event, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the STAAR Reading Exam and the strategies that can help your child excel. We will also introduce various engaging reading games that make learning fun and interactive. These activities are designed to enrich your child's reading experience and foster a love for literature.
Additionally, we believe in rewarding participation, so all students who attend alongside their parents will receive a special wristband that grants them a free dress day at school. This is a wonderful way to encourage attendance and show appreciation for your involvement in your child's education.
Mark your calendars for this wonderful evening of learning and community engagement. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing in the joy of reading together!
Tutorials
Parents it is so important that you allow your child(ren) to attend Tutorials. Many of them could benefit from the additional assistance. Transportation and dinner will be provided. Please encourage them to take advantage of these resources to enhance their learning experience and academic success. Your support in reinforcing the importance of these tutorials will make a significant difference in their educational journey. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to your child's education.
