Cherry Drive Weekly Update
September 1, 2023
Dear Cherry Drive Families,
We hope you had a great week!
We are planning our Fall Fundraiser and are hoping to find local sponsors to help us pay for Pumpkin Run T-shirts so we can provide these free for all students. If you are willing to sponsor our shirts for a donation of $200 or more, we will include your company's logo on the shirt. Please contact the main office if you are interested in being a sponsor. We would need this information and a jpeg of your logo by Friday, 9/15. Thank you in advance for supporting our school! More information about our Fall Fundraiser is coming soon!
We hope you enjoy your long weekend. We will see students back at school next Wednesday, 9/6.
Important Upcoming Dates:
- Monday, September 4: Labor Day Holiday, No School
- Tuesday, September 5: Teacher Workday, No School
- Thursday, September 7: Picture Day

After School Clubs
Please fill out this Google Form by Friday, 9/15 if you want your child to join one or more of our clubs. The Google form will close on 9/15 unless a club is not at capacity and we will leave those clubs open for enrollment. You can pay for clubs, if there is a fee, after 9/15 through the PayForIt app. We will add the club fee to your child's account. You can also send in cash or checks made out to Cherry Drive. A few clubs have a maximum number of students so in that case, we will accept the first students to sign up (and pay the fee, if applicable). If you send in/drop off cash or check please place it in a labeled envelope with your child's name.
Tae Kwon Do has not been added to your child's PayForIt account if you already signed up. Feel free to send in cash or check in the meantime. A permission slip is coming home today for this club. Once this club is added to your child's account for payment, we will let you know.
Here is a calendar with all the club dates to help parents keep track of when clubs are meeting throughout the year. We recommend you saving or printing this document. We look forward to offering lots of enrichment opportunities for our students!
Student Panorama Survey Coming Soon (3rd-5th grade)
The Panorama Student Survey is composed of two distinct surveys: Student Competency and the School Supports and Environment. The survey taken by 3rd-5th graders is an evidence based student perception survey measuring the following social/emotional skills: emotional regulation, growth mindset, self-efficacy, self-management, and social awareness. This survey will also include questions on students' sense of belonging. Students will take the survey between 9/5-9/15 this fall. For more information about the surveys, you can review this informational document. En Espanol.
King Soopers Rewards
We have enrolled into the King Soopers/City Market rewards. This is an amazing way to help your school while purchasing groceries you already buy. You can share this information with friends and family who also use King Soopers for their shopping. We made $585 last Spring thanks to families utilizing this program.
What
This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your card to an organization, all you have to do is shop at King Soopers and swipe your Shopper’s Card. This is at no extra cost to you or your grocery purchases.
When
Every time you shop make sure to swipe or enter your phone number with your Shopper’s Card.
How
In the King Soopers app or website sign in to your account.
Select My Account, it should direct you to your information with options on the side.
