Dear families,
This upcoming week ends with one of my favorite Rosemont Lower traditions, our Literacy Parade! Students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite story book character to fill our school with different literary heroes. Our hope through this event is to foster a love of reading and learning. As your child prepares for this event, I encourage you to read a book about that character and ask questions about the events in the story as you read. This is a great habit to build with students and create excitement about reading for the whole family. Thank you for helping make reading fun for our little bison!
Next week is a big week for Rosemont Upper. We are excited to welcome you to campus for conferences throughout the week and for our Open House event that takes place on Thursday, October 24 from 4:30-6:30PM. I encourage you to join us if you’re interested in learning more about the Upper Campus experience in grades 4-8, the middle school magnet application process, or the clubs and extracurricular opportunities we offer. Informational sessions will begin promptly at 4:30PM and 5:30PM followed by opportunities to meet with teachers, students, and some of our club sponsors. We look forward to seeing you next week!
