This month's Werner Dines Out is Modern Market Eatery. Modern Market offers healthy meals that will keep your New Year's goals on track and help our school.

30% of food sales go back to our school and support fun activities.

Our fundraiser is good for the whole day from 11am-9pm. Please feel free to share our flyer with friends and family so that they can enjoy lunch or dinner and support our community.

Registration opens online for 2024-25 on November 27 for new students. Please go to the PSD School Registration and our Werner Registration site for more information. For Kindergarten registration, you can find more information on our Werner Kindergarten Information site. If you are interested in learning more about our school, call (970-488-5550) our main office to set up a personal tour with our staff.

Throughout the year, we ask our community for photos that could be used for our yearbook and/or social media. This relates to school events only (e.g. classroom parties, field trips, school events, spirit days and enrichment opportunities). You can upload pictures to our 2023-2024 Werner Photo Album throughout the year. Please be mindful to not include photos of students that may not have permission.

We often get questions about our staff and their favorite things (for appreciation, etc.). You can access those remotely at Staff Favorites. This list is also under the "About Us" tab on our school website.

We are excited to share that all students will receive one free breakfast and lunch daily starting in 2023-24 through the Healthy School Meals for All program! This new statewide program, approved by Colorado voters, is helping Colorado children and teens have access to nutritious food at our school. Meal prices for adults are below:

Milk- 8 oz. $1.00

Breakfast 2nd Entree $1.50

Adult Breakfast $2.00

Lunch 2nd Entree $3.25

Adult Lunch $4.65

The PTA has a lot of fun things planned for the school year this year. We can't wait to share it all with you!

• Sign up for the PTA HERE to receive a free Werner yard sign & notifications of upcoming events. You may pay the $10 membership dues via PayPal HERE or Venmo @WernerPTA or drop off cash/check to the main office in a marked envelope.
• The annual Fall Fun(d) Fest on September 29th will be extra special this year with the addition of a Talent Show!! Start Practicing! Volunteer opportunities coming soon.
• ***New this year*** Wildcat stickers available for sale! Stickers are $3 each and available for purchase at our PTA meetings and New Family Orientation.

Thank you for supporting the Werner Elementary PTA!

Members of the Poudre School District community are invited to a curriculum engagement night to review materials being considered for science, social studies, math, and secondary literacy curricula.

The curriculum night will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 25, at Lesher Middle School, 1400 Stover St., in Fort Collins.

Those who attend will have the opportunity to move among vendor rooms to examine materials being considered for adoption, ask vendors and curriculum facilitators questions and provide feedback that will inform the PSD Board of Education’s adoption of materials.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about the implementation of PSD’s new elementary literacy curriculum, which was implemented last fall.

One of many ways information is shared is through the PSD Now community newsletter, which features timely information about the latest happenings in the district. This is emailed to families and interested community members about every other Thursday.

We are now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 Free and Reduced Meals program. Please fill out ALL required information in the application. Incomplete applications cannot be processed. Only one application per household is required. Applications may also be picked up at the Child Nutrition Department, 1502 S. Timberline Road.
