Winter Concert
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Winter Concert. We were so happy that our John Marshall families were able to attend the performance and celebrate their hard work. Thank you to our Orchestra, Band, and Chorus teachers to help prepare our students for their first performance of the year.
Assembly December 13th
Today our John Marshall students were able to attend the assembly with Dominique Williams who is a retired NFL Football player. Dominique Williams taught our learners that our choices matter. John Marshall Dragons learned that if we are kind to others, work hard and make good choices that we can find big success in life.
Title 1 Family Night
This Title 1 sponsored event will allow families to explore musical traditions associated with year-end holidays. We will focus on holiday songs from specific countries, complete a TREE craft activity, and have a sing-along option.
Each student must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to attend. For this family night, only John Marshall Students and their families may attend.
Please keep younger non-school-age children at home.
Please register online using this link by 12/16/24.
Space is limited.
John Marshall Handbook Policy: Electronic Devices and Toys
Please review the information from the John Marshall School Handbook regarding Electronic Devices and Toys
No fidget spinners or any other devices will be allowed in school without appropriate documentation from a doctor, stated in an IEP, or 504 Plan.
Please note that at no time will students be permitted to bring toys, water guns, collectible cards such as Pokémon cards or electronic devices such as individual iPads or handheld video games to school. If any such items are discovered, they will be confiscated by the office immediately. The office will arrange for the items to be picked up by the student’s parents. If a cell phone is brought to school it must be turned off and is not allowed on until your child leaves school. Cell phones are not permitted on the school bus or taken outside at lunch. If this occurs, the cell phone will be taken away and not given back until a parent or guardian picks it up in the Principal’s Office. Please remember the school is not responsible for any lost cell phones. It is highly recommended that all cell phones be left at home.
Specific Reminder: Pokémon Cards
This is a reminder no Pokémon Cards should be brought into school. We are also suggesting that these cards are not in the student's backpack either, they should not take them out on their bus/van either. We are finding that students are bringing these cards into the building and then getting upset if a card goes missing. We appreciate your help and support with this matter.
Bus/Van Reminders
Students are not permitted to eat on the bus/van. All learners must be wearing their seatbelts, and no-one is allowed out of their sit when the bus /van is moving. Students must use inside voices on the bus/van and are not permitted to hit/kick/ punch anyone else. Violating any of these bus/van rules could result in losing bus privileges. Safety is our number one priority and we cannot have the bus/van driver getting distracted due to learners’ behaviors.
