St. Luke Weekly SMORE

Leadership Message
Today in the Gospel, Luke 5:1-11, Jesus called Simon Peter to be a leader among the disciples. Often we come to understand more about God and God’s love through our families, friends, and people at church. Peter’s boat is seen as a symbol of the Church today—not just our parish, but the Church throughout the world. It is a boat that EVERYBODY can belong to.
This week Father Jim came to celebrate our beautiful adoration mass on Wednesday. Staff and students spent two days quietly praying in the presence of the Lord. As we begin our second half of the school year let us be grateful for the presence of the Lord in all that we do and ask that He help guide our students on their learning journey as they are “Called to More.”
God of love, you want the whole world to hear the message of Jesus. Give us the strength and courage to speak up for you and spread the Good News through our words and actions. We make this prayer to you through Christ our Lord, Amen.
Blessings,
Mrs. Cathy Hinger
Principal
