Recurring Information
Counselling Corner-
Ms. Johnson spent the month of February celebrating diversity with our K-2 Students. Student read books about how we are the same but it is okay to be different. 2nd grade completed a special project about being proud of who you are. Students were able to celebrate what makes them unique and were reminded that "being who you are will take you everywhere you are destined to be". Ask your Scholars all about what makes them different and one thing they love about themselves.
Arrival to Mote- Car Line- WE NEED YOUR HELP
From 8:50-9:05 the lane from Duncan Road to the back of Mote will be an exit for buses only. Cars will not be permitted from entering the lane from Duncan Road. This is for the safety of our staff and students.
Car Line- Our car line runs quite efficiently. Our car line starts at 8:50 and the cars pulling up to car line between 9:00 and 9:05 have just pulled into the parking lot. That means that cars do not sit through the car line for more that 10 minutes at most from start to finish.
All students arriving in a car are encouraged to be dropped off in our car line. The car line is in the front of the school.
Walkers- We allow for students who walk to school from Duncan Road to enter the school in the back of the school so they do not have to walk around to the front. Cars are not allowed to drive up the lane from Duncan Road to drop off at the walker door. THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR STAFF OR STUDENTS! If you are driving your student to school, please use our car line in the front of the school.
Overtime Athletics Opportunity
See the attached fliers for opportunities for your child.

Birthday Celebrations
We do not allow for families to send in items for a birthday celebration. Each teacher has a method to celebrate student birthdays in the classroom. The exception is if you choose to send in a small non food item that your child can pass out to each person at the end of the day. Please do not send birthday invitations in to school with your child for him/her to pass out unless there is one for every student in the class. For more information, please see the flier below.
