GISH School students and staff continue to display tremendous energy. Student Progress Reports went home on January 31. We are looking forward to a very energetic and productive second semester.
We have been engaged in valuable learning activities ever since the Christmas break! Our first Snow Valley Ski Club dates were excellent, and many students from grades 4-9 had a tremendous trip with lots of fresh snow in Jasper last weekend. Many junior high students enjoyed their Reward Day activities on January 31 at West Edmonton Mall. Teachers are REALLY looking forward to learning at the Teachers’ Convention on February 6th and 7th.
Our Kindergarten Open House was VERY successful on January 30th. Both Global and Cogito Programs were featured. We are very proud of the quality of instruction in both Programs. Kindergarten is a foundational year for valuable learning, and for setting a positive tone for many years to come. GISH School continues to offer excellent English programs that are supplemented by many field trips and fun activities. We hope to attract many students for full-day classes, as well as morning and afternoon half-day programs in both Global and Cogito. Please remind friends and relatives (especially those who live in St. Albert) about the fantastic learning opportunities that exist at E. S. Gish School.
Junior High Basketball has been going well for all four teams; boys continue to do well and senior girls won our first game. We are proud of all athletes. Running Clubs are training well. We continue to demonstrate outstanding leadership through our iLEAD activities, and we’re proud or our extensive offering of extra-curricular activities.
