I would use this money in a few ways. Some of the money would be utilized to pay my nursing school student loans. Majority of the money would go toward obtaining gym equipment with the goal to one day open a gym in honor of my mom. Lastly, I would donate some money to causes, research, and advancements in colorectal cancer.

I’m Allie and the owner of HEAT Fitness in Tucson, AZ. I had the incredible opportunity to be at the live taping of Oprah’s “Shame, Blame, and the Weight Loss Revolution” Special aired on Hulu. As a fitness trainer, weight loss medications are a very controversial topic in my field. It was eye opening for me to hear personal stories from those on the show who have struggled in their weight loss journeys. I have had my own struggles with my journey too but their stories definitely showed me a new perspective. I was happy to hear from Oprah herself that although these medications can help heal negative relationships with food, it is still necessary to be exercising. I know first hand how exercise has positively impacted my life and my clients lives so I’m glad it was made clear that this is still an important factor even if you are taking weight loss medications. Overall it was such an incredible experience and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it. Thank you WUTS and Oprah and her team!
