Jamel Dewberry, Kindergarten

Jamel is always respectful to his educators. He has shown responsibility by communicating with his parents when folders go home and when homework is due. Jamel shows care towards his classmates and is always supporting them making sure they are doing the right thing. He is always focused and is hard worker and tries really hard!

Cherish McCloud, 1st Grade

Cherish is an absolute sweetheart. She is always following directions and willing to help whenever she can. She is always showing other around her how to be FREE!!!

Rory Welsh, 2nd Grade

Rory exhibits all of the characteristics of the SKTCS pledge. Rory is responsible, respectful, kind, and a good friend. He is a model student and is eager to learn at all times.

Sincere Roberts, 3rd Grade

Sincere is one of the most empathetic, helpful scholars in 3rd grade. He is always willing to help his peers catch up or get on task if they fall behind. He is very focused and hard working when it comes to learning new skills and is quick to come up with new ways to help the class more easily pick these up. Sincere is respectful toward all teachers he comes in contact with as well as his peers. He not only pushes others, but has a lot of drive that even pushed him to studying extra on the weekends and practicing his spelling bee words which won him 3rd place in the spelling bee this year!

Rueben Johnson, 4th Grade

Reuben is a scholar who consistently meets both classroom and SKTCS expectations. He has a real love of learning. Reuben is inquisitive, asks great questions and loves to explore new topics. He is a great friend to his peers and a supportive brother. Reuben is a joy to work with!

Hailie Thomas, 5th Grade

Hailie knows how to balance fun and academics. She is an avid scholar who displays the characteristics of a life-long learner. Hailie participates regularly, actively seeks out feedback, and models great behavior in our class. Hailie pushes other students to be their best and provides a safe place for her peers to take risks and try new skills.

Noah Vince, 6th Grade

Noah, embodies characteristics of being responsible, empowered, and is focused and put forth significant effort in the classroom.

Xavier Smith, 7th Grade

Xavier exhibits class participation very well. He is a well rounded young gentleman who does not mind helping his peers when needed. Xavier is a gifted student and displays every characteristic of being a gifted student.

Ki'Arah Hopper, 8th Grade

Inclusive, kind to all her fellow classmates and respectful of teachers, helpful and volunteers considerable effort unprompted.

Dress Code Reminders

With the increase in cooler weather, please send your scholar's with a jacket.


  • We have a few in our lost in found, you are more than welcome to come in and check our lost and found.
  • If you are in need of a jacket for your scholar, please email Nurse Weber at nurse@sktcs.org


REMINDER:

Our scholars engage in numerous physical activities throughout the day: P.E., Recess, field experiences, etc. ensuring they are properly dressed ensures the safety of our scholars.


  • All scholars (regardless of gender) must adhere to the dress code:
    • All bottoms should have belt loops and pockets
      • NO sweatpants, leggings, workout clothes, gym shorts
      • NO crocs or similar styled shoes - even in sport mode
    • Dresses and shorts should be longer than the scholars index finger when standing

  • Students will not be permitted to enter school without a doctor's note after 8:30 a.m. during the 23 - 24 school year.
  • In an effort to prepare for dismissal, students will not be dismissed after 2:30 p.m.


Please make sure your student is arriving to school on time and staying all day.
