Important Updates
Current 6th grade parents:
Students attending Millswood Middle next year are invited to stop by for a quick tour and a treat on May 16th. Students should drop by between 6:15 and 6:45. They will follow the signs to the back of campus where they will wait for a tour to begin. (tours are running every few minutes). This brief tour is hosted by next year's 8th grade Leadership Class and gives students an idea of what our campus looks like before they start school on Monday, July 29th. Parents are welcome to wait out front and meet our Parent Club members but are not invited to tour. Grizzly gear will be sold by Parent Club.

Toys & Personal Items
We are beginning to see more personal items/toys at school with students. Many times these items cause a distraction, get broken, or lost. Children are not to bring toys, trading cards, or personal items to school unless directed by a teacher or staff member. Please check backpacks for non-school items that should stay at home. Thank you for your support!
DRESSCODE REMINDER- SHOES
-Students must have tennis shoes for PE days. For any questions about dress code, please refer to our Lakewood Handbook on our website or Lakewood Handbook-at-a-Glance.
Please Review Lodiusd attendance Protocols

Important Notice to Parents: Discussing Care and Responsibility for District Chromebooks (K-12)
We want to bring to your attention the importance of discussing the proper care of district-issued student Chromebooks with your children. We have observed an increase in incidents involving damage, often linked to carelessness or misuse. As we address these situations, we want to remind you of the importance of engaging in discussions with your child about the proper care of their district-issued Chromebook. Students will be held responsible for any damages, and charges may apply for repairs. Principals will conduct thorough investigations in collaboration with students to ensure fair outcomes. Additionally, please remind your students to charge their Chromebooks overnight, ensuring they are ready for the next day's learning activities. Your involvement in these discussions is crucial, and we appreciate your attention to these matters.
Spring Testing Notification Message
Dear Lodi USD Parent/Guardians,
Every year, California students take several statewide tests. When combined with other measures such as grades, class work, and teacher observations, these tests give families and teachers a more complete picture of their child’s learning. You can use the results to identify where your child is doing well and where they might need more support.
Your child may be taking one or more of the following:
- California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
- English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC)
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
To see the full information on the above assessments, please visit our Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (ARE) Department website.
