Message From Principal Engdall

Greeting Shaw Community,

I am sure that the name “Neville” conjures the image of a guy with a big bark and an even bigger heart!

Neville Powell has worked at Shaw School for 22 years. Originally from his mother land of Jamaica, Neville moved to Canada eventually settling in the US. He and his wife share 7 children. On June 30th he will clean Shaw for the final time. In retirement, Neville plans to spend more time with his wife and travel to see his children and grandchildren abroad in London and Jamaica. He will leave some huge shoes to fill…no one knows this campus like he does.

Happy trails Neville, you will be greatly missed by all of us in the Shaw Community!

Ohio is calling to Miss Alison Chaffin our Special Education teacher! Alison will join her family back home in Ohio. We wish her well and thank her for the three years she spent at Shaw servicing our children.

On Wednesday evening at the Site Council meeting, Ms. Jennifer shared our summer homework folders. Our summer homework is an opportunity to provide some structures and systems for our learners.

Your child should be working with the materials from the grade level they will be entering this fall. Additionally, your child’s fall teacher may contact you with some added information on these opportunities as well as classroom supplies lists.
