Free vaccines and sports physicals
As the new school year approaches, it is important to make sure that students are up-to-date on all of their required shots. North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District 622 has a “No Shots, No School” policy, which means that all students must have the proper immunizations, be a conscientious objector, or have a medical exemption BEFORE starting school.
School District 622, in partnership with Odam Medical Group, is holding immunization clinics open to students enrolled at any District 622 school who needs to get their required vaccinations.
Note: if attending the Tartan clinic, please use the rear parking lot and follow the signs due to construction.
Back to School
Action needed: Complete the Back-to-School Update by August 31, 2024
Every year, District 622 asks the primary household member to update their Campus Parent account. Verifying family and student information is important to ensure you receive proper services, eligible transportation, and important communications by mail, phone, text, and email. Bus routes for eligible students can only be scheduled once this information is updated.
July 15 to Aug 31, 2024 - update open for returning families
Aug 15 to Aug 31, 2024 - update open for new-to-622 families
New families will receive an email on August 15 with instructions for logging into their accounts to complete the annual update and access all the features of Campus Parent.
Note that you will not be able to access the other Campus Parent features until this review has been completed.
Visit isd622.org/campusparent to log in and complete this step.
Visit isd622.org/services/update-campus-parent for more information, frequently asked questions and instructions.

- We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you in our upcoming programs!
*Special mention goes to Harmony Adult Education student Pasia Tho, who designed the cover of the brochure, and to Justice Alan Page teacher Lori Kolberg, who designed the back cover. Thank you to all who participated. We look forward to the next round of contest entries.

F.L.I.G.H.T (Future Leaders Inspiring Growth, Honor and Talent)
A new after school program for middle schoolers will begin this fall. This program is paid for by the Minnesota Department of Education After-School Community Learning grant and will be offered at no charge to participants. The main purpose will be to provide students with a wide variety of enrichment clubs, academic support, leadership opportunities and culturally affirming clubs. Students will be able to participate in clubs with focuses on art, science, financial literacy, athletics, cultural appreciation, theater, debate, music and much more. Many clubs will also contain an academic focus that will qualify them as Targeted Services classes and that will allow students to improve vital academic skills while enrolled in the club. Clubs will be run by a combination of licensed teachers, paraprofessionals, outside vendors and student leaders from within ISD 622. We are currently looking to hire high school students who have a passion that they would like to share. Employment begins in September. Call 651-748-7431 for details.

Community Resources
Measles and the MMR vaccine
Minnesota has identified cases of measles in children who recently returned to the U.S. after traveling internationally. The decline in measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine coverage, coupled with the increase in measles disease nationally and internationally, puts Minnesota at risk of additional measles cases and a measles outbreak.
MDH has information about measles and the MMR vaccine: https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/measles/measlesfacts.html
If your child has any symptoms, please contact your medical provider and school nurse.
Washington County Vaccination Clinics
Washington County is offering monthly vaccination clinics. Appointments can be scheduled on the Washington County website.
