Principal's Corner
Assalam Alaykum dear parents, staff, and Mercy community,
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for your cooperation and support during virtual learning due to sickness and weather. We understand that this time has presented challenges for many, and we truly appreciate your patience and flexibility. We are hopeful that everyone is recovering, and we look forward to seeing our students back on campus tomorrow.
Please note that masks are recommended, but not required, as we return to in-person learning. Also, a friendly reminder that there will be no school on Monday.
We are so incredibly proud of our high school boys basketball team for their outstanding achievement in winning the TAIAO Regionals last week. We wish them the best of luck as they compete in the TAIAO State competition this weekend.
Additionally, we would like to congratulate our juniors Laith Alkalani, Ali Mehdi, Avha Kazi, Lujayn Alkalani, and Zoha Asim for their impressive participation and placing in the UCO Science Fair. We are proud of their hard work and dedication!
Thank you again for your continued support.

Remote Learning Expectations

- For elementary school students, we will primarily use Class Dojo as the platform for virtual learning
- Middle and high school students will utilize Google Classroom for their online classes
- All core subject and special teachers will have 1 hour long online office hours via Google Meet
- It is crucial for parents to regularly check their emails for communication from teachers regarding the links to Google Meet sessions and the specific meeting times
- If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's teachers
School Safe ID
We are implementing a new visitor check-in system at Mercy School that will be both easy to use and enhance the safety of our students, faculty and staff. School Safe ID will require all visitors to present a valid state-issued ID.
School Safe ID will be managed through a kiosk in the front office. Visitors must scan their valid state-issued ID, and once approved, the visitor will be issued a badge that identifies his or her name and purpose for visiting the school. The system will only record the visitor’s name and date of birth. No additional date from the license will be entered into the system. Should a visitor not have a valid state-issued ID, he or she will not be permitted to enter the school without an escort. Visitors will not need to use the system should they simply need to drop off something in the main office.
