What will be recognized there?
We will be holding as true to our traditional in-person program as we possibly can with the following recognitions:
Honors Recognition:
We will be posting the names of students who have achieved Highest Honors, High Honors, and Honors. Students with highest honors hold a 4.25 GPA or higher. Students with high honors hold a GPA between a 4.0-4.24 and students with honors hold between a 3.5-3.99 GPA. Each of these students have received a gold or silver cord that will be worn with their gown at graduation to signify their academic achievement. Traditionally, these cords and tassels are given during this ceremony; however, we chose to distribute these with graduation supplies this year due to social distancing measures and schools being closed.
CTE Honors:
Each Spring CTE Honors students with a GPA of 3.0 or better. These students must have completed or presently be completing a CTE Cluster (a total of 4 classes with 1 course being a 2nd level). This is a red cord that was given during graduation supply dispersal.

Video Announcements of Scholarships
AC Reynolds has outstanding seniors who have garnered the recognition of numerous scholarship programs. We want to thank the scholarship program representatives who have reached out to us to honor their awardees. We especially thank those who have taken the time to reach out specifically to our ACR community. While we are so incredibly proud of the students listed and honored here. Keep in mind, this is by no means a comprehensive list of students who have received scholarships. Many of our graduates pursue scholarships directly at the school they are attending or from private organizations of their choice. Some seniors are also awaiting scholarship acceptances and decisions. While we are unable to honor everyone in this program, we are so proud of you all and hope you continue to pursue scholarship opportunities year after year.
During this Virtual Ceremony as we traditionally do, we will be honoring the following:
- Ken Rudeen Scholarships sponsored by ACR Athletic Booster Club
- Asheville Civitan Scholarship
- SECU People Helping People Scholarship
- AB Tech Scholarships
- CFWNC Scholarships
- Buncombe County Schools Foundation Scholarships
- WNC Journey Scholarship
- Ingles Market Scholarship
- Distinguished Young Women Scholarships
In closing, we hope you take a moment to look through the website as we celebrate and honor some of the accomplishments of our seniors. While we are deeply saddened we can’t be celebrating with you in person, we hope you have taken some time individually and with your friends and family to celebrate your accomplishments. Congratulations to the Class of 2020!
