LMS Blue Jays!
I hope that everyone is having a great week. We're enjoying celebrating homecoming with LHS. Tomorrow is white out for the home football game!
Parent-teacher conference sign-ups are open. More information is below. We are always very thankful for our PTSA, which provides meals for our staff during parent-teacher conferences. If you would like to participate in this, watch for an email to sign up to bring a dish. Our next PTSA meeting is November 7th at 6:00 pm. Meetings take place in our library media center. We were excited to see new families with their students at our last meeting! We hope you can join us in November.
The PTSA Color Run is on October 17th. It will start at 11:15. If you would like to help supervise this event, look for a Google form to sign up, which will be emailed in the upcoming days. Students who signed up for a t-shirt will receive it the morning of the race. It will be important to wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty.
Be sure to scroll down to see all of the activities we have coming up.

Attention 8th Grade Parents
Our 8th grade students will be attending college visits on October 10th. Every 8th grader will be attending a college visit on this date. We will also have career center visits for a select group of students who request to attend on November 8th and November 15th. These visits provide our students with an overview of a college or career center experience by allowing them to tour the campus/career center of their choosing, meet with students and staff, and learn more about the programs each college/career center offers. When making appointments for your students, please remember kids will be out of the building on these dates.
The counselors went into classrooms to talk to the kids about the schools they will be visiting. Kids will be randomly assigned, but took a survey to indicate if they prefer a 4-year or 2-year university. They also let us know if they want to attend a career center visit. The presentation is attached. If you click on the pictures of the career center slides there are videos attached.
8th graders were given permission slips on Monday, September 30th. They are due on Friday, October 4th. Please encourage your student to get them turned in to their math teacher.
