Principal's Message
👋 Dear Booth Hill Families,
As the Super Bowl approaches, we've been embracing the excitement with school spirit and community kindness! Students and staff proudly showed their team pride by wearing football gear or school spirit wear, and we’ve also been making a meaningful impact beyond our school walls. Thanks to the generosity of our families, we collected soup cans and raised funds to support the local food pantries. It’s inspiring to see our students and families come together to make a difference. Enjoy the game, and thank you for helping make this Super Bowl season special for those in need!
For both staff and parents, the 100th day of school is a milestone—a reminder that just 81 days remain in the school year. There’s still so much to accomplish with our students, and we’re grateful for your continued partnership. Together, we are helping children set ambitious goals and build personalized learning plans that support their growth academically, socially, and emotionally. Simple, consistent routines—like talking with your child about their day, setting aside time for math practice, reading, and writing—make a big impact on their progress. Thank you for all you do, and have a wonderful snowy, football-filled weekend!
Warm regards,
Kevin Chase

Grades 3 & 5 students will participate in the OLSAT practice test 2/10, 2/11, or 2/12 , then the OLSAT test on Friday, February 20th.
BHS Kids Heart Challenge Principal Challenge:
Our school is participating in the American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge and I have taken the Principal’s Challenge! We are hopeful that at least 50% of our families will register for our Kids Heart Challenge team (directions below) as in years past!

The annual Barnum Festival dates back to 1948 to help support local businesses and honor P.T. Barnum—a world-renowned showman and city leader. The Barnum Festival spans several weeks in an effort to build community spirit, enrich the lives of Bridgeport residents, and give back, culminating in a weekend-long Barnum Palooza that hosts parades, concerts, fireworks, and other family-friendly events. One of the popular events for the children is the Tom Thumb and Lavinia Warren contest.

School Attendance
As a school community, we continually strive to promote regular attendance at Booth Hill. We welcome and appreciate open communication between school and home; therefore, please reach out if you need assistance with getting your child to school each day and in a timely fashion. Parent and school partnerships enable us to best support our students to ensure success at school.
"Chronically absent is defined as "a child who accumulated a total number of absences at any time during the school year that is equal to or greater than ten percent (10%) of the total number of days that such student has been enrolled at the school during the school year."
