Memorial Day Weekend is upon us, the unofficial kickoff to summer, a time that always feels very distant when we start a school year, but quickly, here we are. For anyone who has lost a loved one while serving our country, we thank them for their service and remember and honor them this weekend.

With only 18 days of school left, we have a lot to fit in in a short amount of time. One of the exciting events is our Funny Farm Assembly. Our amazing Parents Club teamed up with Renaissance to organize an assembly from Funny Farm Animal Rescue. This assembly will be outdoors and students will have the opportunity to learn about a few animals and how they care for them on the farm. There WILL NOT be any contact with the animals.

Coming in the next few weeks, the students transitioning to kindergarten will visit a kindergarten classroom and tour the school building. Depending on the preschool your child attends they will visit either Davenport Primary on May 29th or 30th or they will visit Swift School on June 3rd or 4th.

Se acerca el fin de semana del Memorial Day, el inicio no oficial del verano, una época que siempre se siente muy distante cuando comenzamos un año escolar, pero rápidamente, aquí estamos. A cualquiera que haya perdido a un ser querido mientras servía a nuestro país, le agradecemos su servicio y lo recordamos y honramos este fin de semana.

Con solo 18 días de clases restantes, tenemos mucho que hacer en un corto período de tiempo. Uno de los eventos emocionantes es nuestra Asamblea Divertida de la Granja. Nuestro increíble Club de Padres se asoció con Renaissance para organizar una asamblea de Funny Farm Animal Rescue. Esta asamblea será al aire libre y los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de aprender sobre algunos animales y cómo los cuidan en la granja. Nohabrá ningún contacto con los animales.

En las próximas semanas, los estudiantes en transición al jardín de infantes visitarán un salón de clases de jardín de infantes y recorrerán el edificio de la escuela. Dependiendo del preescolar al que asista su hijo, visitará Davenport Primary el 29 o 30 de Mayo o visitará Swift School el 3 o 4 de Junio.

Ms. Brittny & Miss Kearston’s class ended the Building Study building our own houses. We planted grass seeds and patiently waited for our grass to grow. Once the grass grew too long, we were excited to give it a cut! Next, we are starting the Insect Study, and we can’t wait to see what insects show up on our front lawns!

EHT Preshool Parents Club has purchased garden supplies for Slaybaugh Primary, Bargaintown, and EHTHS Preschool!! Soil and seeds will be delivered as well! 🌱☀️💧
