Wolverine Wednesday Weekly
GHMS Updates and Notes (12/20)
Principal's Corner
Dear Middle School Families,
We're heading into the final stretch of the semester, and I want to express my gratitude for your ongoing support in preparing your children for the future.
As we approach the end of this semester, the importance of attendance becomes even more critical. Each one of us—students, parents, staff, and teachers—has invested significant effort this semester, and now it's time for our students to demonstrate their understanding through their exams.
We recognize that the exam period can be stressful, so we appreciate your efforts in providing emotional and physical support to your child. Encourage them to get enough rest, maintain a healthy diet, and manage their time effectively. These habits contribute not only to academic success but also to overall well-being.
Take care during the break, recharge, and have some fun. We eagerly anticipate welcoming everyone back for the new semester and new year on Monday, January 8th, 2024.
Wishing you all a joyful holiday season!

Winterfest Recap
Last week's Wolverine WinterFest was a resounding success, and we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making it such a wonderful event! A big shout-out to our 11 community partners and over 15 volunteers who helped us organize the festival. The turnout was fantastic, with over 400 individuals enjoying the festivities throughout the night.
Attendees had the chance to win gift cards and activity passes every half hour through our raffle. The activities were a hit, with games, snacks, and various engaging options for all ages. The photo booth captured special moments, and there was even an opportunity to screen print Godwin Heights Public Schools t-shirts. Plus, who could resist the warmth of the hot cocoa station?
We extend our sincere thanks to the partners and staff volunteers who played a crucial role in making this event a success. Your support for the KSSN team and the Wolverine WinterFest truly made a difference. For those who couldn't join, we've included some photos of the event to share in the festive spirit. We wish you all a joyful holiday season!
