Toy Drive
We are excited to announce an upcoming event that combines our community's love for soccer with the spirit of giving back. Lorne Akins will be hosting a Toy Drive Charity Soccer Game to support families in need during this holiday season.
Event Details:
Date: December 20, 2024
Time: 9:15-11:15 am
Location: West End Soccer Center 17415 106a Ave Edmonton
This special event is a wonderful opportunity for students to enjoy a fun-filled soccer match while contributing to a great cause. All toys and proceeds collected between December 3-10th and will be donated to Kinette Club St. Albert, which will distribute them to children in need in our community.
In addition to the soccer game, we are excited to include door prizes as part of the event. This will give students the opportunity to win fun and exciting prizes, adding even more excitement to the day! To make this possible, we are seeking donations of door prizes from our generous community members and businesses. If you or your organization would like to contribute a prize, please deliver the donation to Lorne Akins Junior High School before December 20th.
Bring a toy or donation to school between December 3-10. Each toy donated provides a chance for entry to either play in the game or to win a door prize.
Spread the word by sharing this information with friends and family.
Donate a door prize to help us make the event extra special for our students.
Student Volunteers- We will have student volunteers helping on event day and collecting toys.
This is a chance for our community to come together, enjoy some friendly competition, and make a positive difference. Let’s make this holiday season brighter for those who need it most!
For more information or to arrange a donation, please contact us at 780-460-3728.

Without hearing from a parent, the student would be marked as unexcused and you will receive an automated call from the school informing you of this.
