Cub Families,
Wow! I want to say thank you to everyone who made me feel so spoiled this week. I really have the best job ever getting to work with such a great staff and awesome students!
THANK YOU to all of our families that have registered for the next school year! We have made our way up to 80% completion! If you have not registered, please do so; this helps us with staffing and planning for next year.
Please read through this newsletter for information regarding upcoming events as well as information for the upcoming weeks. As always, please reach out to us if we can help in any way.
Have a wonderful and restful weekend.

4th and 5th grade parents:
Recently we have seen an increase in inappropriate behaviors involving the mistreatment of others or "roasting", engaging in academic dishonesty (cheating), and taking items from peers stating that they won't care.
All of these behaviors go against the BISD student code of conduct and the message of Kindness we give to students. Mrs. Simmons and I have been meeting with all students in 4th and 5th grade to review our student code of conduct and possible consequences that can also be assigned if behaviors continue.
Students have told me that they are watching “Roasting Battles” on YouTube. They tell me that these battles are all about insulting each other. They recognize that this leads to hurt feelings and conflicts between students. I wanted parents to be aware of this recent (renewed) trend on YouTube.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me.
