College & Career
Dear Parents/Guardians of Middle School and High School students,
We are very excited to introduce our new college and career readiness platform, SchooLinks!
All of the SchooLinks features are designed with students in mind to help them become career, college, and life-ready. As guardians, you will have access to SchooLinks through your own account. This allows you to join your students in their career and college exploration process and discuss their future with them.
SchooLinks allows you to have informed conversations with your students by:
- Viewing your student’s career interest, strength, and mindset assessments
- Seeing what colleges and careers your student has favorited
- Comparing college costs and explore expected financial aid, scholarships, and out-of-pocket expenses
See this document to learn more about how to access your account.
Master Agreement
All students received a Master Agreement form in their AVID class. This form needs to be signed by student and parent, then returned to the AVID teacher. If you have not signed, please access the form to review with your student and submit to the office as soon as possible.
Once turned in, students will be receiving a school shirt!
Update: We are waiting on another shipment of shirts. Unfortunately, one size was not delivered and we want all our students to receive them at one time. Students will receive them shortly!

Chromebook Insurance
Please review the following message from the District:
We want to bring to your attention the importance of discussing the proper care of district-issued student Chromebooks with your children. We have observed an increase in incidents involving damage, often linked to carelessness or misuse. As we address these situations, we want to remind you of the importance of engaging in discussions with your child about the proper care of their district-issued Chromebook. Students will be held responsible for any damages, and charges may apply for repairs. Principals will conduct thorough investigations in collaboration with students to ensure fair outcomes. Additionally, please remind your students to charge their Chromebooks overnight, ensuring they are ready for the next day's learning activities. Your involvement in these discussions is crucial, and we appreciate your attention to these matters.

Mental Health Support
To Be Honest
Delta College has partnered with an organization known as tbh (short for "to be honest") to provide students with free access to online mental health services.
Tbh offers virtual professional therapy, personal coaching, group support, and digital exercises that can be used whenever needed (on a phone, computer, or from the comfort of your own home).
As tbh tells students, this service is "like a gym for their mental health."
These services are now available and can be accessed from your MyDelta Dashboard!
All of the services are free! All you need to do is sign up by visiting your MyDelta Dashboard and clicking on the tbh tile, which looks like the attached image.
Signing up should take less than 5 minutes. No long forms or insurance are needed.
You are encourage to take advantage of this new service and sign up for tbh today!

Picking Students Up
Students that need to be picked up early:
Parents, if your student needs to leave early, call the main office: (209) 954-5790--the secretary will send a call slip for the student and the student will meet you at your designated pick-up. The earlier you call in, the quicker we are able to communicate with the student.
9th & 10th Graders with an end of the day free-period:
Parents, if you will be routinely picking up your student early, please submit a note to the main office, Holt 208, that states the student will be leaving either during 4th or 7th period.
COVID-19 Guidelines for California Schools (K-12)
Recent updates in the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) COVID-19 guidelines for K-12 schools: The revised guidance now allows individuals who test positive for COVID-19 but remain asymptomatic to return to work and school without the need to stay home. However, it is crucial to note that students showing symptoms are strongly encouraged to wear masks. This adjustment in guidelines reflects a more flexible approach to managing the virus, aiming to strike a balance between public health concerns and our evolving understanding of its impact. For additional information, please read updated California Division of Public Health – COVID-19 Isolation Guidance by following this link: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/COVID-19-Isolation-Guidance.aspx. Your ongoing cooperation is vital in ensuring the safety of our school community.

- Clothing that is skin tight or revealing back, midriff, cleavage, or buttocks (ex: spaghetti straps, tube top, crop top, muscle tanks, shorts with less than a 3 inch inseam, micro-mini skirts, etc.)
- Clothing that exposes underwear or undergarments worn as outerwear (ex: clothing with excessive holes, bralettes, sports bras, etc.)
- Headwear (excluding for religious purpose) may not be worn in class or indoor activities (ex: caps/hats, scarves, beanies, stocking caps, do-rags, wave caps, etc.)
