Trimester 2 is underway!
As we open Trimester 2, we want to thank our students for their hard work and dedication so far this year and for adjusting to schedule changes. As a reminder, parents can view their student’s Trimester 1 report card, graduation progress, and attendance in Parent Vue. Parent Vue screens often have a detail button that provides additional information that may be useful in supporting students. Staying on top of grades and attendance is key to student success, so we ask parents to continue regularly checking progress and reaching out to teachers if there are any questions or concerns.
For students who have a Trimester 1 incomplete plan, we encourage finishing these up promptly so that students can put their full energy in current coursework. Students can get help during Incomplete Club on Thursday or at Friday School. Thank you to families and staff members who are supporting students in their efforts!
CLUE Curtain Call!
That’s A Wrap!
The Corbett Performing Arts Club performed their final show of Clue to a record breaking, packed house on Saturday, November 23rd. Three months of preparation by the cast and crew (adult volunteers, too) paid off in a run of 7 awe inspiring shows over two weekends. The second weekend included many repeat-attendees who chose to return for an encore!Who Dunnit?
The star-studded cast included seniors Logan Auble, Natalie Matias, and Emily Miller.
Paige Capitano delivered an unparalleled performance as Wadsworth the Butler. The hilarity on stage was nonstop by castmates Judah Ray, Madi Doyle, Simone Doumerc, Rosemary Macy, Adam Auble, and Izzy Ray. Emma Auble, Scarlet Boggs, Moss Byers, Quincy McIntire, Ian White, Lucy June Pierce, Tucker Miller, Elora Lyon, Olivia Stoffer, and Orin Patrick supported the shenanigans.
The theater tech magic was executed by Elora Lyon, Orin Patrick, Mattox Simpson, Holden White, Colton Moon, Chase Wright, William Macy, Lucy June Pierce, Oren Gelbrich, Mead LaFramboise, Lucca Lyon, and Teagan Pederson. Couldn’t have done it without our tech wizards.
The “Evidence” is in the Benefits of Theater.
Consider the commitment: rehearsals for months, lengthy performances, the cast and crew spend more time at the “theater” (or in our case, the MPB) than at home! But the lights of CPAC never fully turn off again for them, for they are now “theater people!” Consider the mad theater skills: public speaking, sound engineering, set construction, and collaborative teamwork. Most importantly, they have built relationships across grade levels and peer groups. Sophomore Paige Capitano says, “Not only have I loved performing with CPAC, but it has also created my community and chosen family.”
Curtain Call!
It’s a wrap on Clue, but this season for CPAC is only at Intermission! Auditions will be held in mid-December for the Spring Musical! Stay tuned for details, coming soon to an MPB near you!

Senior Corner (Respost)
Seniors are reminded that some colleges and universities had their early action/early application deadlines on November 1st and others are coming up. Each institution sets their own deadline, so students should make sure to check the timelines for the schools they are hoping to attend. If a student missed early action, it just means that they will apply in the next window.
Ms. Pekny, our school counselor, is here to support you and your family every step of the way. If you have any questions at the moment, please reach out to Ms. Pekny at spekny@corbett.k12.or.us and she’ll be happy to help!
Ms. Pekny is also organizing group college visits this fall. Check out the Senior Google Classroom for more information.
