Happy May! Since returning from spring break, our students and teachers have been very busy with end-of-year competitions: TSA, FBLA, Envirothon, and Music Ensembles to name a few. We have experienced much success and placed in many of the competitions. This showcases the yearly efforts of students and the great support from our teachers throughout the school year. In addition to competitions, teachers have been providing great experiences and opportunities for our students this spring with meaningful field trips, festivals, and shows. The end of the year is a very exciting time and we have plenty of important events still to come. Below are topics with information that are coming up in the next couple weeks.

The LAHS Prom is on Saturday, May 3 and begins at 7:00. This year's promenade will begin at 6:30 in the auditorium. Guests are welcome to attend to see students announced and walk across the stage as they enter into prom. Students who are attending prom, please park on the side of the building and enter through door 23, the Art wing entrance.

The AP testing window begins on Monday, May 5 and ends on Friday, May 16. Provided in this link is the schedule of when each test is offered. 2025 AP Exam Schedule. If you have any questions regarding your student’s AP exams, please reach out to Ms. Jennifer Cecco.

On Monday, May 12, 2025 the Keystone exams will begin at the high school for the following subjects: Algebra, Biology, and Literature.

In order to have the least amount of disruption for students taking the Keystone exams from 8:00-9:45 AM, the high school bell schedule on Monday, May 12 - Thursday, May 15 will be a two-hour delay bell schedule. The buses will not be running on a two-hour delay schedule in order to transport Keystone test-takers to school for their regularly scheduled drop off. Students who are testing will arrive at the regular (7:20-7:45 AM) school time by school bus or parent transportation to take the exam.

Any student who is not passing a course and is not taking a Keystone exam is required to come into the building to complete assignments, tests, projects, etc. at the regularly scheduled school time. The front office will update the list after each school day and send an updated school messenger if a student is required to be in the building from 7:45-9:45 completing school work.

Students who are not testing and passing all of their classes must be in the building by 9:45 AM. Students must have their own transportation if they are not coming into the building during the regularly scheduled bus times.

District Art Show: Thursday, May 8 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the high school gymnasium
