Wilson Hill Weekly Newsletter
Message from the Principal
Dear Families and White Tigers,
It was another beautiful week at Wilson Hill! Please be sure to recognize a staff member below! It's a great time to share words of kindness for our teachers and staff.
Lost & Found: If you are missing a coat or water bottle, please have your child stop by the lost & found soon! All items will be donated at the end of the month! Over 100 items were hung up and 50 are in the bin AND there are expensive water bottles. All are unmarked- items with names are returned to students.
As always, please let us know if you have any questions!

Elementary Cell Phone and Smart Watch Policy
As technology continues to become more present in our student’s lives, Worthington Schools has been seeking to better understand the impacts of technology in our classrooms. All schools in Ohio are required to adopt a policy regarding cell phone use by July 2025. Superintendent Dr. Bowers recently presented student, community, and staff feedback regarding cell phone use in our schools and Worthington’s progress toward defining a cell phone policy which you can view here.
Based on this feedback, we are adjusting our technology practices at the elementary level. Students at our elementary schools have always been asked to silence cell phones and are required to keep them in their bookbags during the school day. Now, this practice will also apply to smartwatches and other wearable technology.
This change supports a more focused and distraction-free classroom environment while still allowing students to access technology for communication to and from school. We understand that many families find value in features like location tracking, and this adjustment allows for these needs to be met without interrupting the school day. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to create the best learning experience for all our students!
Should you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Movie Night at Wilson Hill: November 22nd!
Science Fair
We are excited to host a Science Fair at Wilson Hill Elementary on January 23, 2025! This event aims to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for science among the students. In addition, those students interested in attending the District Science Fair on January 25 can use this as a practice to share their project before that Fair.
Holiday Help
Update: Thanksgiving deadlines have passed. Christmas help is due mid November! Please be sure to use the linked form below if you are in need of Christmas help.
Hello Wilson Hill Families! Support is available from around 2-7 organizations each year for help with Holiday food and gifts. This year to help streamline the process throughout Worthington Schools, we will use this form below to track requests for help, and any help received will be shared with schools of siblings, as much of the help includes whole families. This will attempt to lessen any possible duplication, and allow more families to get support. If you would like to help a Wilson Hill Family, please contact Erin Zelinski-Righter at ezelinski-righter@wscloud.org or follow and donate Worthington Connects (formerly Worthington Elves) on facebook to give back directly to Worthington Families in need.
