LovePet App
#LovePet
Why we created LovePet
To address this, we have created an app called LovePet to help educate and support future pet owners. By creating that educates pet owners that connects them with local resources, we will prevent overpopulation of homeless animals by ensuring we give our animals a permanent home and proper care for their entire life. Our app will provide features such as schedules for local pet ownership classes, notifications to remind you when to feed your pet, foster pet profiles, links to helpful pet care websites, and much more.
Statistics
The ASPCA states that approximately 6.5 million animals enter shelters nationwide every year, and one of the leading causes are owners surrendering them because they don’t want them anymore.
Each year, 1.5 million animals are euthanized because animal shelters are too crowded and cannot hold them anymore
Only 1 out of every 10 dogs born will find a permanent home.
