BUSSES and CARLINE and GETTING OUT OF THE CAR

With the cold weather and snow upon us, we are seeing more and more cars coming to school for drop-off in the morning. The more cars coming to school in the morning causes back-ups and ultimately students being late for school.

I would ask that if your child is bus eligible that you use the bus so that those families that don't have access to a bus can get their child into school on time.

Additionally, when dropping your child off, please be reminded to not get out of your car. Please teach them how to get in and out on their own. If you feel it necessary to assist your child, then please park in the lot closest to Cook St. and walk over the bridge. Again, holding up the line for others causes students to be tardy. Let's all do our part to ensure students are able to start school on time.

Rainbow Club

We would like to invite your child to join biweekly sessions that will be made up of students that identify as LGBTQIA+ and allies. This group will create a community where identities are respected and celebrated. Rainbow Club promotes a safe healthy school climate and sends an anti bullying message. This group will be an opportunity for students to have an open and safe dialogue, to foster and build confidence, grow self-awareness and build a community. In this group, students will be encouraged to utilize art, books, games and other activities to allow for empowerment and community within our school.
