Good Afternoon, OMS Families,

It was wonderful to connect with so many families during parent-teacher conferences. Whether you were able to come in person or scheduled a conference call we appreciate the time together to talk about our students.

Next week is a busy week! On Monday we celebrate Veterans Day with an assembly and our 2nd graders have their concert in the afternoon. On Tuesday, our students will enjoy an extra recess for earning so many owl tickets this past month. On Thursday, please join us for our 2nd Annual Multicultural night and 3rd grade mini-concert. Friday is the last day of our first trimester! Report cards will be emailed home on November 22nd.

Attendance Matters

At the end of each trimester we notify parents via email of absences and tardies. Please review our Student/Parent Handbook for information on truancy. You will receive an email in the next two weeks if your student has been absent or tardy for more than 5% of school days.

Library Fundraiser at Multicultural Night!

Join us in the library media center during Multicultural Night on Thursday, November 14, for our “sponsor a book” fundraiser! Explore our new book collection and, with a $10 donation, sponsor a book for the library. Sponsored books will have a personalized bookplate, and your child will be the first to check it out. Plus, every family who sponsors a book can enter a raffle to win an autographed copy of a book. Three prizes are available!

Help for the Holidays

The holidays are quickly approaching, and we have families in our OMS community that can use a little extra help during the holiday season. Please contact us if your family is one that would benefit from this assistance. Gifts or gift cards will be collected to distribute to families who respond by November 22. Reach out to one of our social workers by confidential voicemail or email listed below.
