Dear Paddock Families,

We've made it to the last week of the 2023-2024 school year. This year brought some great learning, fun events, and friendships that will last forever. I am very proud of all of the students' hard work and growth.

With all of the changes that are occurring at Paddock due to the boundary changes, many staff members at Paddock will be at different schools next year. Our teachers and support staff are the backbone of Paddock school and are the reason that our students are learning and coming to a safe, comfortable learning environment each and everyday. I want to take a moment to thank all of those staff members that are leaving Paddock for their years of service and all that they have done to help our students and the school. You will be missed.

As a reminder, all new and existing District 15 students need to be registered/re-registered for the 2024-2025 school year. It is very important for our families to do this as early as possible so we have accurate student enrollment numbers. These numbers help us determine the number of teachers and other staff Paddock will need for the upcoming school year.

Any students not enrolled or re-enrolled by July 1, 2024, will be unenrolled and will need to contact their school to begin a new registration. Please go to the District 15 registration page to register your student. Call the Paddock main office (847-963-5800) if you have any questions.

The last day of school is this Thursday, May 23rd. This is a half day of school with dismissal at 11:25. The last day of school for kindergarten students is Wednesday, May 22nd.

Paddock school is not getting construction on it so the main office will be open all summer. Summer hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm. The school will be closed on Fridays and all holidays. If you want to check if someone will be in the office, prior to visiting you can call the main office at 847-963-5800.

Field Day is Monday, May 20th at Paddock school. On Field Day, students will be spending half of the day outside taking part in fun stations with their class. Please remind you student to dress appropriately for the weather. Additionally, closed toed shoes, a water bottle, and sunscreen are all things to consider depending on the weather that day. If the 20th is rainy, Field Day will be on Tuesday, May 21st.

All Paddock families are invited to the car loop on Tuesday, May 21st from 5 to 7pm to buy a yummy treat from My Flavor It Place! 5th and 6th grade families can eat their snow cones while also taking pictures of their graduates with the graduation sign.

Each shaved ice costs $4, and both cash and credit cards are accepted. 15% of sales will be donated to the Paddock PTA.

Intra-District Transfer requests for the 2024-2025 school year are now being accepted. Under special circumstances and on a very limited basis, parents may request an Intra-District Transfer for their child(ren) from their assigned home school to another school in District 15. To download and complete this request form, follow this link CCSD15 website's intra-district transfer page. Requests will be accepted until June 28th, 2024.

Over the last month, students and community members have been bringing in plastic bags and other items that can be recycled by Clean Up Give Back. Paddock school was in a friendly competition with Gray M. Sanborn school and, after the final collection numbers, officially collected more pounds of plastic than Sanborn. Great job everyone and thank you for supporting the recycling of plastic in our community.

All CCSD15 students, Kindergarten through 7th grade are invited to join a virtual summer book club. Students will join a CCSD15 teacher, via a Google Meet, 4 times over the summer to read and discuss the book of choice. Books will be provided to students by District 15. The deadline to sign up is May 15th. Please see the flyers for more information.

School supply kits for the 2024-2025 are now available. Buy your kit early this year! All kits will be delivered directly to Paddock in August. The supplies will be in your child’s classroom when school begins.
