Principal's News
Our K-3 students had a fantastic opportunity to learn about the wonders of weather from meteorologist Jacob Wycoff! During his engaging presentation, students discovered why we have weather and explored fascinating facts about extreme storms like tornadoes—rare in Massachusetts—and hurricanes. They were amazed to learn that the eye of a hurricane is calm and safe, while the eye wall has the most powerful winds, sometimes reaching 150 miles per hour! He also explained how meteorologists are real scientists who study the atmosphere and shared stories about speaking with astronauts, including Suni Williams! Thanks to this exciting enrichment program, our students’ curiosity and excitement for weather is forecasted to stay strong!
