Penn Brook Elementary School
Week of October 28th
From the Penn Brook Administration
Hi Penn Brook families,
We hope you had a great weekend. It was great talking with some of you during the PTA open meeting on Wednesday. At this meeting we shared briefly information about our new English Language Arts Curriculum, Wit and Wisdom. We are adding a section in the weekly newsletter that shares information with families about Wit and Wisdom. Please check out this information in the section below.
We are sending the weekly email early so that you have information regarding the Book Fair that begins on Monday. The PTA is hosting the Book Fair all week. Please see information below about when your student will visit the book fair. We strongly encourage using eWallet so that students do not need to bring cash to school to purchase books at the Book Fair. During school hours, the Book Fair is only open to students not the community. We have volunteers helping throughout the fair. These volunteers have signed up through the PTA and are all CORI checked. In addition, there are students coming over from the Middle/High School. These students are supervised by staff from GMHS and are practicing the leadership skills that they have been learning. Penn Brook students in previous years have enjoyed engaging with the older students as they navigate the Book Fair. All the volunteers will be available to assist any student that is needing help as they determine and purchase items.
We hope you have a great weekend and week!
