Principal Message.....
Hello RCE Parents:
Thank you for another wonderful week at school and for helping make our Halloween parade such a joyful event! It was heartwarming to see so many of you there, supporting the children and celebrating their creativity. As we move further into fall, we want to remind everyone that the colder weather is here to stay. Please ensure your children are dressed warmly each day, with coats, hats, and gloves as needed, so they can stay comfortable during recess and outdoor activities. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to all the exciting weeks ahead!
Kind regards,
Mr. Michael Seefried, Principal

Fall Activities and Halloween Parade!
Music at RCE.....
Kindergarten is learning folk songs and dances. They are practicing call and response using a singing voice. First graders are learning a new note called a “rest.” They are also doing partner choosing songs. Second graders are learning new notes: half note, half rest, whole note and whole rest. They also are having fun playing a French Version of Down by the Banks. Third grade are super excited to be getting their recorders! They will also start learning the notes on the treble clef. Fourth Grade is learning folk music games about a fox and chicken. They also just learned a very clever song called “Left Right.” Fifth grade is starting to learn the Thriller choreography. They are also starting their instrument identification unit in preparation for their symphony field trip later this school year.
Snacks and Water Bottles
Please remember to have your child bring a water bottle to school, they can refill them at the water stations throughout the school.
Thank you to everyone that was able to donate snacks that will be shared among the students. If you are interested in donating any snack items such as individually packaged snacks, granola bars, fruit snacks, or any other non-perishable school friendly snacks, please send and/or bring snacks to the main office. We appreciate your support!

Immunization Compliance.....
Hello Elizabeth School District Families,
Our health team is in the process of reviewing student immunization records and will begin notifying families of students who do not meet the immunization guidelines required by Colorado law (Board of Health rule 6 CCR 1009-2).
All students attending Colorado schools and licensed child care programs are required to be vaccinated against certain diseases, unless an exemption is filed.
The following vaccines are required for students grades K-12:
- Hepatitis B (Hep B)
- Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTaP)
- Inactivated poliovirus (IPV)
- Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) *Students are required to have Tdap prior to entry into 6th grade. One dose of Tdap is required for 6th-12th grades*
- Hepatitis B (Hep B)
- Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTaP)
- Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib)
- Inactivated poliovirus (IPV)
- Pneumococcal conjugate (PCV)
- Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
- Varicella (chickenpox)
As a district, we support your right as a family to determine whether or not you vaccinate your children. Should you choose not to vaccinate- please be sure to complete the online immunization education module to receive a certificate of nonmedical exemption (NME). This exemption allows us to count your child as compliant with vaccination requirements. Nonmedical exemptions must be completed on an annual basis. Exemptions received this school year will expire June 30, 2025.
If you receive an immunization non-compliance notice and have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ashley Keith at 303-646-6730 or akeith@esdk12.org.
We thank you for your assistance in keeping our immunization compliance rate high within the Elizabeth School District!
