Principal's Update
Hello England Families-
As we wrap up this first semester, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of you. Thank you for the thoughtful treats, tokens of appreciation, and kind words leading into the break. Most of all, thank you for your trust and partnership.
This semester has been nothing short of amazing! Our students have impressed us with their curiosity, teamwork, and kindness, showing every day that they are capable of incredible things. Their efforts and growth are a testament to the unwavering commitment of our staff and the invaluable support from our families and community. Together, we are building a foundation for lifelong success!
While we strive for excellence, we know that growth is a continuous journey. Feedback is a vital part of this process, and we genuinely want to hear from you. Recently, I listened to a podcast that emphasized a powerful insight: celebrating accomplishments and strengths doesn’t just feel good—it builds the momentum needed to achieve our growth goals. Recognizing what is working well energizes our community and provides a foundation for continued improvement.
In that spirit, we would love to hear your thoughts on our campus strengths and any areas for growth. Please take a moment to complete this short campus survey. Your voice matters, and your input helps guide us as we refine and strengthen our practices. Together, by celebrating our wins and thoughtfully addressing opportunities for growth, we can continue to build a school where every student thrives.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue established traditions and create new ones in the spring semester—Cultural Heritage Night being a highlight we all look forward to. But for now, let’s take this time to rest, relax, and make cherished memories with our families. Whether it’s reading with your children, baking cookies, going for a walk, or starting new traditions, this is the perfect season to embrace the magic and joy that this time of year brings.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and an amazing start to 2025. We can’t wait to see you back for another fantastic semester!
With gratitude,
Krystall Williams, Principal

PTA Update:
We want to extend a huge thank you to the PTA for the fabulous donut and hot chocolate bar. Our staff truly felt the appreciation and love—it was such a thoughtful way to bring joy to our campus!
A special thank you goes to all the volunteers who helped make our Winter Parties a huge success and to the PTA for funding our inspiring author visit from Lalena Fisher. Your efforts have created memorable moments for our students and staff!
This semester, our PTA has been incredibly busy making a difference. From answering the call for volunteers, organizing our first-ever and highly successful Spooky Fun Run, coordinating homeroom parents, and hosting events like Movie Night and Math Pentathlon—just to name a few—they’ve done so much more behind the scenes to ensure our community thrives.
Most importantly, the PTA has worked tirelessly to create opportunities for students, families, and staff to connect. These connections are the foundation for our students’ successful and memorable elementary school journey.
I want to personally thank our PTA board and every member for the time, effort, and passion you pour into our partnership. Together, we are making Elsa England a truly special place for our students to learn, grow, and shine!
The PTA is excited to invite you and your family to participate in our traditional CHN 2025 Showcase! This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to celebrate cultures from around the world.
We are calling on all countries in our community to take part, and registrations are now open! The deadline to sign up is January 15th.
To participate, please complete the registration form.
If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to reach out to the PTA CHN Committee at englandcnh@gmail.com.

Student Chromebooks Over the Break
All students brought home their Chromebooks for the winter break. Please ensure these devices stay at home and do not travel on vacations. We kindly ask that they be returned to school fully charged on January 7th.
Several families requested opportunities to continue learning during the break. Below, you’ll find a flyer with platforms we use at school that offer meaningful and aligned learning experiences. That said, these resources are not intended to replace the joys of reading a good book, spending time with family, or enjoying the outdoors.
Engaging with these platforms during the winter holiday is entirely a family decision and not an expectation from our campus. We sincerely appreciate your communication and interest in fostering a strong home-school connection during extended breaks from school. Thank you for your support!
Smart Watches/Cell Phones:
We would like to share a quick update regarding the use of smartwatches and phones on campus. To minimize distractions and ensure a focused learning environment, students will now be asked to keep smartwatches and phones stored in their backpacks during the school day.
This adjustment aligns with the protocols already in place at many elementary and middle schools and is intended to help students stay engaged in their learning and maintain a positive classroom experience.
If you have any questions or concerns about this update, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly. Thank you for your support as we continue to prioritize the success and well-being of our students.
Volunteer Opportunities:
We truly appreciate the collaboration and partnership as we offer these opportunities for our Leopards. Your support makes all the difference!
We’re currently highlighting our cafeteria volunteer sign-up! Volunteers help our Leopards by opening containers, providing extra napkins and utensils, and even offering a little encouragement and assistance with cleanup after the occasional spill. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with students and show them that our community is here to support them. If you're interested in lending a hand in this important role, please use this link to sign up.

Ms. Nonde's class came together to support the Central Texas Table of Grace by donating pajamas and toiletry items. To celebrate their generosity, they had a fun Pajama Party! Thank you to all the students and families for helping us make a difference in our community.
Our Leopards are talented artists! Thank you to Ms. Olufsen and Ms. Bell, our amazing art teachers, for guiding our students and showcasing their hard work and creativity for all to enjoy in the hallway.
Congratulations to Mrs. Eaton (Counselor) and Mr. Blackmon (Fifth Grade) on completing their graduate programs! We are so proud to celebrate our Leopard staff members who exemplify lifelong learning!
