Winter Sports
Boys basketball is in full swing! We are having a spirit battle with East on February 6 at Les Bois and February 26 at East. More details will be shared with the students, but the challenge is to see who can get the most fans in their school colors to cheer that day.
As a reminder, on game days, athletes must attend a minimum of 5 classes (lunch period is not a class) in order to participate in the game.
We also have athletes playing basketball and wrestling at Timberline.
Check out our website for all our sports schedules and the Timberline Athletics website for details on freshman schedules.

OTHER NEWS
Cell Phone Policy Update for Second Semester
The new cell phone policy has been going well and we have seen major improvements in student engagement and collaboration. This semester, along with East and a few other Boise School District junior high schools, we will be going to no cell phones from bell to bell. That means cell phones will no longer be allowed during lunch times. Students will continue to put their cell phones in their locker at the beginning of the day. They may check their phones at break, at the beginning of their lunch, and at the end of their lunch, but the phone must stay at their locker.

Winter Weather Notification
If school will be closed, the Boise School District will communicate in a number of ways to spread the word. In addition to notifying local radio and television news stations, they will send text and email messages to parents/guardians and staff; send an emergency alert via the district’s mobile app; post closure information at www.boiseschools.org, on each school’s website, and on our social media channels (X, Facebook, Threads and Instagram). Parents/guardians can sign up to receive emergency text messages by texting “Y” or “YES” to the number 67587. Non-parents (e.g., other family members, staff, news media, etc.) can also receive emergency text alerts via the Boise School District's mobile app (available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store) or via Remind. For more information, please visit our Inclement Weather Procedures on our Emergency webpage and on our Stay Informed webpage. Boise School District Administrators do their best to make a decision by 5:30 a.m.
Verification of Compliance (VOC)
Any student who needs a VOC to get their driver’s permit can come to the front office and request the VOC from Mrs. Larrick.

LBJH FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCT DRIVE
Parents, we need your help!
We are organizing a parent-led feminine hygiene product drive. Feminine hygiene products are not supplied by the district, and our health office could use extra supplies. Goods donated will go to the nurse to supply our students with needed products each month.
This is an ongoing need, and we are hoping to build a supply to last through the end of the year and hopefully beyond.
To help, please click on the link: LBJH Amazon Wish List to view and purchase items. All items will go directly to Les Bois and will be given to the nurse. If you would like to drop off products, you may do so by leaving them at the front office.
Please let us know if you have any questions and thank you for supporting our school.
Sincerely,
LBJH PTO
