🧤Winter Time Un-Wind
🍁🍂 Remembering Fall...
- I am sure we are hearing the buzz, participating in focus groups, and/or gearing up for the roll-out of the National School Social Work Model. We are excited to rebrand, reframe, and refocus as we solidify the work that we do. https://www.sswaa.org/ssw-model
- Thank You to each Social Worker and Community Member who supported the success of the Fall Virtual Conference. We will continue to make providing CEU opportunities a priority.
- Missouri had the largest representation at the Midwest Council Meeting! It was a joy attending the Midwest Conference with President, Past President, School Social Worker of the Year, and State Consultant in attendance. Missouri was also granted a $1,500 grant to support our Show-Me MO-bility initiative of providing support to out least active regions!!!
- We participated in "Voices Across the Nation" voting campaign sponsored my SSWAA President Dr. Terrilyn Riviers-Cannon in support of voting for issues impacting our students and the communities in which they live.
- Oh how we value the opportunity to partner with our local Universities. This is a repeat year of us standing in support of Missouri Western State University's Human Right Fair.

🥶 Freeze!....While I still have your attention
There is so much that can be said about vaping and other substance use/abuse within our school buildings that not only impede upon learning but puts our students at risk for possible long term health concerns or even death. Lets keep the conversation going and building our networks of supports while we combat this lethal epidemic.
