RAPTOR REPORT
October 25, 2024
Happy Friday Raptors!
The end of quarter one is upon us. We can’t believe how fast the school year is moving!
There is no school next Friday, Nov. 1, as it is a grading day for our teachers. Remember to be checking grades in ParentVUE/StudentVUE and to be keeping up with assignments on Google Classroom. These are excellent resources for our students and families to stay organized and on top of their work.
We also offer additional support through Life Class and our Afterschool Academy, where students can receive extra academic help. Afterschool Academy is right after school on Mondays and Wednesdays in the student center until 5:00 pm. Students that stay for Afterschool Academy can take one of our activity buses home. They leave RHS at 5:00 pm, one to Wilsonville and one to West Linn.
We hope you have a great weekend and look forward to seeing everybody on Monday.

News and Notes
National Elections and WLWV School Culture
Any election season provides educators the opportunity to teach students about civics and democracy. In Oregon, classroom teachers, administrators and staff may not, while on the job during working hours, promote or oppose specific candidates, political committees or ballot measures. When political questions enter the classroom, our staff will remain neutral and objective while assuring our students that a diverse democracy can work, live, learn and play together. In West Linn-Wilsonville, we will continue to promote school cultures of welcome, belonging, empathy, respect and kindness first. We are stronger together and proud of our communities.
Fall Theatre Production!
Not Who We Thought, written by RHS Theatre students. One performance only on Friday, November 1st at 6:30pm. Warning, there will be some high emotion moments in the production and use of stage blood. Tickets are $5 and available at the door or in advance in our school Webstore.
Upcoming 9th Grade Field Trip to the Oregon Jewish Museum
Mrs. Roberts Language Arts 9 classes will be attending a field trip to the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education on NOVEMBER 6. This will tie into their reading of the book Night.
Students are expected to be completely caught up on all of their assignments in all classes in order to attend. Mrs. Roberts will do a grade check on Oct. 31 in order to give a final head count to the museum representative. Please return permission slips by Thursday, October 31.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Roberts at robertss@wlwv.k12.or.us
RHS Info Night
On Wednesday, November 13th at 6pm we will hold an Information Night for families interested in learning more about what we offer at Riverside High School. Whether you are looking to transfer at the end of Semester 1 or gathering information about your options for next year, our information night will be a great opportunity to hear about our IB program, CTE pathways, Athletics and Activities, and the inviting culture here at RHS. Please share with any families you know that have students in high school or 8th grade. Word of mouth and current student/family testimonials are the best!
Lost and Found!
In addition to our usual bin full of sweatshirts and water bottles, we also have a collection of smaller items at the front desk. Drop by if you recognize anything in these photos!

Only Students with a current and valid parking permit may park in school parking lots. Complete this form and turn in with a copy of your drivers license and insurance card to the main office.
