Kennedy Sunday Newsletter
Message from the Principal
Dear Kennedy Families and Community Members,
We have a lot of exciting events coming up at Kennedy High School this week!
We're thrilled to announce the re-opening of our Family & Community Engagement Center! This welcoming space is designed to foster connections between our school community and local resources. Please join us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, November 5th at 4:00 PM. We are excited that this space will be able to be a welcoming place within the school for all parents and a place where parents can gather to learn and connect with school and community resources.
On Tuesday, November 5th, over 100 of our seniors will be visiting Cypress College. They'll learn about the Pledge/Charger Experience Program and how to earn two years of free tuition at Cypress College, meet faculty and students from each academic pathway, participate in a Student Services Resource Fair, take the RIASEC assessment to connect their career interests to a Cypress College major, and enjoy FREE BURGERS from The Habit! Additionally, on Tuesday, November 5th, representatives from University California, Irvine will be on campus to provide a College Prep presentation to a select group of Sophomores.
Our student-athletes will be competing at the highest level this week. On Monday, November 4th, our Varsity Girls' Golf Team will compete in the CIF Championships. Then on Wednesday, November 6th, our Varsity Cross Country team will race in the Golden Empire League Finals at Central Park in Huntington Beach. Varsity Football CIF information will be available soon, so stay tuned!
Join us for our Day of the Dead Parent Night on Wednesday, November 6th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Kennedy Quad. This incredible cultural event is sponsored by our World Languages Department.
Finally, don't miss the Kennedy Blarney Stone's dinner and theater production in MP1 on November 7th, 8th, and 9th. These talented students will surely entertain you.
We encourage you to participate in these exciting events and support our students.
Sincerely,
Poppy Hill-Bonales
